5-7 Pistol Review - It's not everyone's cup of tea, so why did I buy it? Well...I'm a bit of a collector.
The real F.N. A pair of five-sevens were built to NATO's requirements for personal defense weapons, one shoulder-fired, the other a pistol, with improved armor-piercing capability over the standard 9mm parabolic round.
5-7 Pistol Review
To cut a long story short, the shoulder-fired P90 and F.N have become portable weapons. Five developed sepN. Both weapons are 5.7mm rounds designed to travel at high velocity and penetrate body armor. It worked great, but in the end... it was more expensive than the 9mm or 5.56, so it ended up being a pretty good caliber outside of a few units and civilian owners.

Five SeveN has become somewhat of a cult despite appearing in countless games, movies and TV shows. This is largely the reason for the iconic "Body Armor Victory" weapon.
As it was an interesting pistol, it was only a matter of time from F.N. Five SeveN deserves its own air-conditioned version.
Let's address the elephant in the room first... Marui's FN-57 model is not considered one of the best models out there, from horror stories of cracked slides and frames to worn out magazines and frontal fire. 't. It has many fans, but those who love Five Seven N refuse to hear anything bad about it.

Very similar to the real F.N. Five Seven, this Japanese replica is made primarily of polymer, albeit a more delicate ABS. A sliding polymer shell with an internal cast zinc alloy provides rigidity and strength. The Marui replica is modeled after the USG model, but with some minor (and odd) differences.
The tail is modeled after one of the five early SeveN types, with a narrow front-to-back profile, but the front blade profile is close to that of the USG type. Unusual, but real geese are the details to pay attention to.
On both sides of the slide, chad teeth are reinforced with great tension at the end point. This seems to make carrying a pistol much easier.
The front of the slide has been dramatically lowered, giving it a rather odd but distinctly brown Hi-Poweresque aesthetic. This was removed on the actual SeveN, and the latest generation has a constant width slider along its length.

The lower end allowed for a tight grip, which certainly helps considering this particular gun has a fairly large grip, as the real world magazine holds 20 5.7x28mm rounds.
The controls are semi-obvious. The magazine release is a push-button type and designed for right-handed use (most left-handed shooters work around that anyway).
The safety is probably the standard's biggest drawback, as it's in front of the trigger guard, not behind the slide or frame, as with most pistols. This particular safety grip is completely opaque, with identical levers on both sides of the frame.
The slide release is a little more conventional and has the same placement as the Sig P226. I'm not a big fan of F.N. The slide-release design is generally difficult to operate with a left-handed grip, although it is more difficult for right-handed shooters to accidentally hit the lever than the Glock's more advanced slide-release position.
Fn's Fast And Tiny Five Seven Pistol
The drive is... well, it's light. Measuring walls and restorations is relatively easy, and with a little practice you can usually place the photo accurately and quickly. It's not as good a trigger as found on some of their newer pistols like the FNX45 or M45A1, but honestly not that bad.
On the front left side of the frame is the takedown lever, which is easy to operate and is made of the same light gray plastic as the other controls.
An additional tool rail is located under the frame and accommodates your choice of tool lights or spotlights, and this rail meets Marui's "close-up" specification. Some lights fit better than others, and my real Surefire X300U is very tight compared to some replicas.
The barrel is a chrome metal two-piece design and is probably one of the key components to watch for signs of wear. If not taken care of, these can loosen with the gun.

It looks weird as the thinnest most gun barrels, but I've been listening to the five sevens on the outside of the desert, but it requires a 14mm adapter to do anything inside, but I've slimmed down anything for a domestic 3D printer. .
The pistol grip is unusual to look and hold compared to most pistols, and it feels like a cross between a Colt M1911 and a Desert Eagle. The handle is narrower, but longer front and back than other designs. This is also due to the actual five SeveN cameras.
Although your brain may tell you it's bigger than any other handgun you've ever held, the distance between the backstrap and the trigger on the Five SeveN is about the same as on the Beretta M9, meaning you can just hold it. . No problem maintaining a proper, stable and comfortable grip.

Most of you probably don't know, but insiders say what sets this replica apart from the pistol that came before it is that the Five SeveN is the first Marui pistol built around a 13.5mm cylinder system that offers plenty of recoil and good looks. Precise shooting experience.
This version follows the outline of the original F.N. Five SeveNs are sufficient for true indoor use, which is not always guaranteed for older Marui models.
I know from personal experience that both Kydex and Blackhawk! Holsters designed for realism work perfectly with Marui replicas, and my personal favorite is the HW Holsters Kydex piece, which was originally manufactured at Marvel's props.
In use, the Five SeveN is surprisingly sharp. I was expecting them to be similar to the Gen 3 Glock 17 or Sig P226E2 (10/12 years old with the same age design), but it's honestly a fun pistol to shoot. The 13.5mm cylinder really packs a lot of punch, which is unfortunately one of the main reasons the pistol breaks.

Accuracy and range are generally good, and if the slide is not gripped due to the rear weight and cylinder size, it has a noticeable muzzle, but is not difficult to tame, and quick and accurate shooting is possible due to the relatively light trigger.
This magazine is obscenely big, as big as a desert eagle. A curved bottom plate blends into the ergonomic curves of the pistol grip, and a large gas reservoir helps feed a 26-round magazine.
Finding a magazine pouch that fits this particular pistol may not be easy...the HSGI pouch is a safe bet, but the pistol KYWI is a bit too tight. Haley's new DPMPs (reviewed here) perform well and are a great choice for those who frequently switch between guns. Oh, and it holds 26 rounds, making it one of the closest real-life replicas of this Marui range.
It's never been Marui's biggest hit, with cylinder volume offering excellent performance but at the expense of longevity. Reports of slides and poppers falling apart aren't ghost stories, they actually break. The mine has gone through its first thousand rounds, but it's never going to be the pistol of choice for the weekend, and it's an interesting choice for games that want to mess around rather than blow through the entire magazine. If you buy this pistol, you should be fully prepared to consider it a glorified paperweight in its construction. There are some things you can do to help reduce potential damage, but unfortunately there are design flaws that almost always kill it.
I personally bought a set of guard controls, threaded barrels, and reinforced slide assemblies to give them a little more longevity and some spare parts when needed. I also use this in my other pistol rounds, and I hope to use it occasionally for years to come.
