The LA-N15™ uses aCMMG 1:16 Twist 4140Steel Barrel that is chambered in .22 Bentz for improved accuracy. The barrel is mounted on a bolt assembly and then Cerakoted black to finish. The LA-N15™.22LR can be reliably loaded, fired and loaded in .22LR and the only limitation is the use of "Stinger" rifles that are not compatible with Match Grade Chamber rifles.

The rifle is designed to work with Standard Velocity ammunition such as the CCI Standard and the use of a MiniMag is not necessary to achieve safe cycling of the action.

Each LA-N15™ Stealth Raven .22LR is equipped with a LWRC Ultra CompactStock & Buffer Tube & Magpul MOE+ Grip, which has a storage compartment in the base and all furniture is manufactured from industrial fiber reinforced polymer.
The LA-N15™ Stealth Raven has some unique features right out of the box. The Trigger provided is a Geissele SSA-E, Stage 2 that breaks at 2.9lb - 3.8lb (2.0lb - 2.5lb First Stage, 0.9lb - 1.3lb Second Stage). The rifle uses the CATCH22 Dedicated22lr Bolt Catch which allows the use of M&P 15-22, KRISS Defiance & Black Dog Magaines. The gun comes with a x1 M&P 15-22 Magazine which allows for automatic rear opening and a manual bolt lock to the rear when needed. Lantac UTP-S™ removal pins are installed as standard with Lantac RPS™ (Ratchet Plate System) and UFA-S™ Streamlined Forward Assist.
How Useful Is An Ar 15 22 Conversion Kit?
Each LA-N15™ .22LR has an 11° crown barrel that we make in house. The 12.5'' barrel is finished with an A2 Style Compensator and crush washer. The muzzle thread is an industry standard 1/2-28 UNEF, so customers can upgrade their muzzle devices without a problem.
The 10.5'' SPADA-ML® Handguard is also Hydro Dipped to fit the 7075-T6 billet alloy receiver set. The rifle is shown here with the Surefire Scout Light accessory which is not included.

As cheap as they are, I'd rather have two guns than have a few accessories. Also, .22 Long Rifle bullets often leave lead in the .223 Remington barrel.

The .22 caliber magazine is the only giveaway in the classic look of the Colt M4 .22. Otherwise, it looks like a regular AR-15.
The Colt M4 .22 is a simple rimfire semi-automatic rifle. It is designed to work as closely as possible to the AR-15 rifle.

His appearance is very good. The real giveaway is the long .22 caliber magazine. The safety, trigger, sights, magazine release and rear sight all function like the Colt AR-15 rifle.
This makes it an excellent inexpensive training rifle for those using the AR-15 rifle. The Walther works differently than the AR-15, but the controls are largely the same.
An important feature is the game barrel. The barrel rides in a sleeve that mimics a standard AR-15 barrel.
The barrel is genuine even down to the A1 style flash hider. The sight is a typical AR-15 sight. There are many adjustments in sight.

The frame rail is free floating. The Picatinny rail allows the installation of a laser or a combat light, even a red dot sight.
The receiver is aluminum, just like the AR-15. They are marked Colt and M4 Carbine. Walther markings are missing on the lower right receiver.
When considering the fit and finish of the gun, it gets high marks. All controls are AR-15 standard and feel very much like the "real thing" Colt used for comparison.
The first difference in function is the bolt release when you turn the bolt to be ready. The .223 version moves three times the length of the .22 Long Rifle.

It feels weird after the first try and nothing if you've never fired an AR-15. The five-position stock provides fine adjustments.
I mostly use iron sights and have also used TruGlo Eminus scopes with good results.
I think it's also fair to emphasize the training aspect of the Colt M4. 22 for those with an AR-15 center fire, the M4 .22 is a real rifle.
On its own, the M4 has great appeal whether you have a center gun or not. Therefore, a small difference in handling does not mean that it is a training or independent gun.

Quick note: when you take the receiver apart, you will see a button to control the bolt speed. Clockwise, high speed, counterclockwise, low speed.
This will allow the use of high speed .22 Long Rifle, about 90 percent of what most of us use, and the normal speed, which some people like to play.
Standard speed is slower and usually more expensive. It's a nice option to have, but I don't use the setting.
In most cases the gun will run fine with all velocity loads and will work with normal velocity loads as well.

On very dirty gun sites, the bolt speed for low velocity loads may take longer between cleanings.
I've never reloaded mine and you probably don't need to fire the M4 .22 in general.
There is a tab on the follower to make it easier to load the magazine to its full capacity.
Like any long magazine, the magazine can interfere with prone positions or other shooting positions that place the gun close to the ground.

When handling the rifle quickly, the balance is as AR-15 as you would expect. At just over six pounds, the rifle is not as light as .22s.
The trigger action is broken at seven pounds, which is in the middle of the road for an AR-15 trigger action.
The aftermarket trigger action is not compatible with the Colt M4 .22. At the shooting range, the rifle was a joy to shoot and use. It was not difficult to present the newspapers.
I used the Winchester M22 download. This is a load specially designed for use with the AR-15-style .22 Long Rifle.

The M22 is accurate, reliable and clean burning. I loaded four magazines and started shooting at 15 to 25 meters targets that looked like men.
It's really fun to shoot magazines aimlessly. I lost some weight and could put five to 10 rounds in the X ring if needed.
Sitting down to test its absolute accuracy, I shot the Winchester M22 and the Winchester Super X. Super X is a hot number.
